INGREDIENTS
Note: Adjust quantities based on your preferences and the number of servings needed.
• 3-4 sausages
• 1/2 onion
• 1 bell pepper
• 2-3 cloves of garlic
• Handful of mushrooms - your choice
• Tomato sauce - we like to use @justsoupjustsauce
• Splash of cream - or a dairy free alternative if that's your thing
• Noodles of choice
• Fresh parmesan
• Fresh basil
• Spices
• Spoonful of Neil's Real Deal Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce (heat 4/5)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prep Work: Start by cooking your noodles according to the package instructions. Don't forget to salt the water for added flavour!
• While the noodles are cooking, heat a large pan over medium-high heat.
2. Sauté Sausage and Veggies: Remove the casings from the sausages and crumble the meat into the heated pan. Cook until browned.
• Add finely chopped onions, diced bell pepper, minced garlic, and your preferred mushrooms to the pan. Sauté until the vegetables are tender.
3. Spice It Up: Season the mixture with your favourite spices. Italian seasoning, black pepper, and a pinch of red pepper flakes work well. Adjust according to your taste.
4. Sauce it Up: Pour in the tomato sauce, giving the ingredients a good stir. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes to absorb the flavours.
5. Creamy Goodness: Add a splash of cream (or dairy-free alternative) to the pan, creating a luscious and creamy texture. Stir well to combine.
6. Bring the Heat: Time to turn up the heat! Add a generous spoonful of Neil's Real Deal Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce. Adjust the quantity based on your spice preference. Stir and let the sauce meld with the other flavours.
7. Final Touch: Drain the cooked noodles and add them to the pan. Toss everything together, ensuring the noodles are evenly coated with the spicy sausage sauce.
8. Serve and Garnish: Plate the pasta, topping it with freshly grated Parmesan and torn fresh basil leaves for a burst of colour and added freshness.
